CAMPUS NEWS HOMECOMING 2006: A REASON TO CELEBRATE

October 6-8 saw the return of alumni and friends to campus for this year’s Homecoming celebration. This year marks the 130th anniversary of the founding of the college.
The Abbey’s sports teams did not disappoint, with the women’s soccer team defeating Anderson 3-0, and the men’s soccer team defeating Anderson 3-1. (For more on the men's triumph, see related story.) The cross-country treams also had a good showing, with the women finishing 6th and the men successfully defending our turf with a first-place finish.
Several events made the weekend memorable -- from the Haid Toga Party on Friday to the dedication of the Fr. Lawrence Media Room on Saturday. Here are a few scenes from this year’s Homecoming celebration (all photos by Patrick Schneider):
